Course Overview
Introduction to Creation Spirituality
This course offers an exploration of Creation Spirituality, a spiritual tradition that celebrates the ancient mystical paths, and the sacredness of all creation. Drawing from Matthew Fox’s seminal work, Original Blessing, we delve into the four paths of Creation Spirituality: Via Positiva, Via Negativa, Via Creativa, and Via Transformativa. Each path provides unique insights and practices to deepen our connection with the divine, the earth, and each other. In each session we learn about Creation Spirituality as well as experience the three of its fundamental archetypal practices: art as meditation, dreamwork/symbolic expression, and ritual.
The Six Essentials of Creation Spirituality
1. The Universe and all life within it is fundamentally a blessing.
2. It is through the work of spiritual practice that we move beyond fear into compassion and discover our deep and true self.
3.The spiritual community can be understood as a dance moving in and out of four mystical paths.
4. Everyone of us carries within the capacity to be a mystic, to be creative, to be a visionary, and to be an agent for positive change. It is our responsibility to cultivate these capacities for the benefit of earth and all its creatures.
5. We rejoice in and courageously honor the rich diversity within the cosmos which is expressed in every individual and embodies multiple cultures, religions, and ancestral traditions.
6. Ecological justice is our priority as an imperative for the healing, sustainability, and harmony among our species and the entire earth community

Exploring Creation Spirituality
The Role of Dreamwork in Creation Spirituality
Dreamwork serves as a profound tool for self-discovery and spiritual growth within Creation Spirituality. At Sacred Earth Alaska, we delve into the depths of our subconscious to uncover the wisdom and guidance that dreams offer. This practice not only enriches our personal spiritual journey but also strengthens our communal bonds.
By engaging in dreamwork, participants learn to interpret the symbols and messages that arise during sleep, fostering a deeper connection with their inner selves and the divine. This process is integral to the interior coursework, as it aligns with the principles of Creation Spirituality, emphasizing the sacredness of all life and the interconnectedness of all beings.
In our community, dreamwork is more than an individual practice; it is a shared experience that brings us closer together. Through group discussions and workshops, we support each other in understanding and integrating the insights gained from our dreams, creating a supportive and nurturing environment for spiritual exploration.
