Letter from East Jerusalem

Ibrahim Abu El Hawa grew up and still lives on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where his family has lived for 1400 years. He is called ‘the ambassador of good will from the Mount of Olives’ because he has devoted his life to work for peace and helps anyone in need – Jews, Christians, Muslims and others.

Ibrahim works closely with the Jahalin Bedouin tribe in the West Bank. Together with Eliyahu McLean from the Peacemaker Community he has travelled widely sharing the message that peace is possible between Israelis and Palestinians. He is a family man with many children and grandchildren.

Letter from Ibrahim

Dear friends and family around the world,

I am sending special love and healing for every one of you in the time when we live here on this mother earth with this kind of situation, and I believe everyone understand how this world so beautiful when we think about one another. 'cause the world today so small through the news and God make it more simple and easy to thank Him for open the mind of some smart people in this mother earth who let us use this email and that make really the world so small.

I'm just asking every one of you to pray deeply from your heart to talk to the leader of the world to stop building the weapons and building hatred because we are all children of God and we have families and every one of us want to live in peace and love. I'm asking all the mothers on this planet to bring them boys above shouting and every mother talking to them leades to bring them children back homes to be between them arms and look into them eyes and their hearts, because that's the love that they want.

And I'm asking every person on this earth on Fridays at noontime everywhere in the world to pray in silence for one minute.

And especially here in the Middle East and this country has two people, as a first cousin, seeds of Ibrahim, I feel how we are so terrified how we deal with this daily. We need rest and through your love and pray sharing with us we really need it now, today, this minute. We are as Iraeli and Palestinian, Muslim and Christian and Jew, need every one of you. Need everyone's support and love. Continue to pray for us. Thank you and God bless you.

Dearest Ibrahim,

Maybe you will feel a moment of our devotion and know that Americans are now protesting in Washington, D. C. Getting peace into the universe overwhelms me. Better I tell you many friends send you their love and dream of a better life for Palestinians. I go on Tuesday to Washington, and have yours and other letters, to ask they be put into the Congressional Record, for all of our Congressmen to see.
